We booked Rajahmundry–Kolluru Bamboo Huts stay–Dropping at Bhadrachalam(2Days package) on “papihills.com”. We reached Rajahmundry from Hyderabad in the morning, freshed up and reached Maruthi Tourism office in the river bank and collected our passes for “Boat Journey” and “Kolluru Bamboo Hut Stay” by 8AM (Saturday). It was full of fog all over the river…an eyefiest for us. We were wait for few minutes, later we picked up by a 7 seater auto. Journey continued over Road Cum Rail Bridge…Kovvur….Pattisam….Polavaram. Later we were dropped at Polavaram river side. There are so many boats…We rushed to the boat which was specified in the pass. Got the chairs on the deck, we received breakfast(taste is just OK). We bought cooked ground nuts, guavas…drank coconut and ate flesh inside coconut…tasty…tasty…Boat started, provided with an young gauy, who is an announser/guide/entertainer/dancer. He was explaining and showing views and scenic places. After one hour, as he intimated our mobile signals were lost. Thank God, they are not useless…having watch and camera 🙂 🙂 We visited places, the temple picturized in JanakiRamudu movie.Gandipochamma temple, Upcoming Polavaram Project Construction Area and Perantapalli Temple. There is a tree with mammoth roots on the ground, you might have seen in many godavari backdrop telugu movies. After that in the after noon 2PM we reached Kolluru Bamboo Huts…provided BambooHuts, later we had good lunch. We went to an hill stream and had bath and had snacks. There was dinner in the night both Veg and Nonveg. There were camp fires, had slept in the tent. Cool breezes made as wakeup very early in the morning. We enjoyed the scenic beauty in the winter fog, had breakfast (yaak…) and rushed to a tiny trecking. Captured good photographs and had bath. You can see the tribal village on the way to trecking. Had lunch and our boat was announced, reached boat by 2.30PM. Be prepared for a walk of half kilometer to huts from river bank. It is horrible, if one having large stuff. You can find few tribes, who can carry luggage for you, we paid Rs.60/- for 3 bags. It is abviously necessary…We reached Pochavaram at 4PM and we fixed our luggage with three guys for Rs.60/- again, it is 1 KM to reach the road. We transferred to Bhadrachalam at 6PM, refreshed in a near by hotel and went to Bhadradri Rama Darshan. We had darshan two times and bought some prasadams and reached to Bus stand. And had dinner in hotel opposite to bus stand later started to Hyderabad at 10.30PM and reached at 4.30AM
